Spring has been full with baseball games and golf matches. We love this time of year, but it definitely changes our nightly family dinners. We are often eating on the run.
Recently, we had a rain shower that caused a rainout for baseball and golf. My daughter rejoiced!
“Finally! We can have a family, sit- down meal,” she announced.
We sat around talking, laughing, and listening for an hour and a half. It thrilled my heart to see my family bonding. The rain revived life into our family again.
Refreshing rain refreshed your family. Nice.
Delightful post MaryHelen. Must have made you feel good that they noticed how important family time is. – Pat
The rain revived life . . . I love that line!
I love that you had this time & shared with us how important it is, Mary Helen. I remember well passing pbj sandwiches to the backseat as we drove from one activity to the next. A wonderful time, but so busy.
Oh, the joy of rain! It breathes life and allows all things to grow – I can hear the chatter and laughter of your family, like pitter-patter of raindrops. Let it rain!
